...has been the prevailing thing on my heart these last few months. It is something i guess I never cared about before, to be honest. But it is a new, very deep passion that God is instilling gin my heart; something I hope and pray continues to drive me.

Wandering

Today was by far the best adventure Ive ever had in Riverside!!! It is redeeming itself.

After taking my roommate to work I found ACTUAL WILDERNESS!!!!!!!!!! like untouched land... like NATURE in the city of Riverside! I found a bike trail and a beautiful huge green valley with a little mini forest. It was absolutely beautiful. (not to mention today was clear blue skys!)While I could still hear the freeway, I could hear TONS of birds. It was so relaxing. I walked for a long time and then just sat. It felt so good to just sit and be still before God. As I was looking around and all of the beauty, and watching one leaf fall at a time, God reminded me that I am not the one who is in control.. and that is a very good thing. It was soo relaxing.

Right before that I found this SICK neighborhood. It looked like some little commune you'd see in Big Sir or something. Totally tucked away and out of place, but stunning. There was also a cool graveyard.

After spending about an hour and a half there, I headed back to school. On the way back I stopped at some pretty cool places. One was a teeny tiny book shop that Ive always wanted to check out. I was kind of disappointed with it actually. But then I found a little vintage shop!! It was one of the best ones I have ever been too. It was really quirky and super reasonable! I got a super cool book from there.

All in all it was simple... but it made for SUCH a great afternoon.

New

Over this past year, God has reminded me so many times of the passions he has given me. Art has been the one that I have been reminded of the most lately. Again and again actually.

This weekend blew my mind in so many ways. It reminded me of a lot and stirred up a lot in my heart.

This is definitely the start of some new. Of a lot of new actually. I think summer and next fall will only bring LOTS more new. I can't wait.
