I was blown away today with Penny's voice!!! You cant hear her super well here but baby girl can serrriously sing. Girls got soul and I love her like crazy. I had so much fun with all my family today, but playing and singing with my niece and nephew was probably the highlight of the day. I am nutzo blessed.

Semester Highlights

Due to my pretty redic schedule I had most of the semester (15-18 units and working Mon-Fri), it took me the whole semester to use up just one roll of film! Concerning these pictures I have some good news and some bad news. Which one do you want first? The bad? Thought so. Ok, the bad news, is that apparently last month THE WHOLE WORLD (seemingly) stopped developing 35mm except Costco and one random cvs (but their machine was broken anyway.) Since target has betrayed me, I ventured down to Costco. I'm kind of bummed because the prints came out sorta blurry and dull, and the digital images on the photo disk came out really grainy and ...bad. Oh well. The good news is that since it took me the whole semester, I forgot about most of what I took pictures of, and so looking at them was like having a really fun little surprise party!!! And also (crappy or not) I have fun pictures that will remind me of great memories. So without further ado, I present to you, some random semester highlights:

Homework Grace

Queen Feist and I are studying for finals together.

I am so blessed. I have had a wonderful weekend/day (which I hope to share about soon) and I am so refreshed and ready to study for finals. ( I can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth.) I've been at the point of giving up for the last 2 weeks. After spending time with Jesus and best friends this weekend, I just have truth, love, and fresh perspective packed into my little heart, which all add up to equal surprise motivation.

I am so thankful for life. EVERYONE: you need to know Jesus. Life with him is toooo good to be true. There are as many trials, struggles, and scary new things as there are in life without him, but with him, those things become strangely sweet and restoring rather than bringing anxiety.

P.s. Some nights when I'm really tired and stressed I can't stand the silence. Tonight however, my silent room is soothing and restoring to my soul. I feel like myself tonight.

P.p.s. ONLY THREE AND A HALF MONTHS UNTIL NATIONAL POETRY MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait another day.

I just found pictures of my 21st farm birthday party that my co-workers threw me last year! BEST birthday party EVER! It will be near impossible to top. EVER.

Garden Summer

Homework at my favorite coffee house!! I simply cannot get things done without inspiration.

Four noteworthy things about tonight:

1. I just realized that since I have to go to community college next year...that I could do it ANYWHERE..

2. The people sitting behind me met online and are on their first date haha.

3. The old man next to me is watching a movie or something on his ipad and keeps cracking up. He's shaking. Its so cute.

4. I think cousins are one of the best things that have ever existed. I miss my cuzzys so much it hurrrrtssss.

On a less complain-y note, it really is amazing sit here and realize that even in the area of school work and mental discipline, that I am wholly and desperately dependent on the grace of God. It's a familiar place to be... considering the fact that desperate for Gods grace is the very foundational reality that makes up the truest aspect of my identity.I'm not being fake, I genuinely mean that and am comforted by that connection. haha. Thinking of it that way makes homework less stressful and kind like a fun adventure.... wait, back up...i went a little too far with that... take two: kind of like a fun, really hard still, lame-but-better-than-awful, baby-hint-of-adventure ........... learning task.

p.s. i got free carrots and even a left-over hot coco from 2 (entirely separate) kind strangers tonight! God provides man! hahah
